Software: Adobe Illustrator CS 5.1 and InDesign CS 5.5
These two images are very much like the first “Event Horizon” image (posted on March 28th). The software used is Illustrator and InDesign, and once again they are images that could only reasonably created by a computer. Also once again it reminds me of a something I would see in a trip to the Ontario Science Centre. The image on the left also reminds me of text-book cover I had for statistics (oh the horror).

Things are not accidents and buildings are most definitely things. When you look at a building, strange as it may seem you are looking an idea. This idea was originally in the mind of the architect / designer. To explain his idea the architect used drawings to explain the idea. Thus the blueprints and artist renderings are truly a method of communication.

First off – an apology to Shepard Fairey. Your designs are fantastic and in no way am I comparing Obama with Vader. This image came about when after seeing a “Make an Obama style poster” video on YouTube, YourTube put up some suggested video and one of them was a Star Wars fan video. The Obama poster and Darth Vader – two iconic images. This image came to me and it quickly became impossible for me not to make this image.

I’ve said it before, but I guess I will have to keep saying it. The true power of Photoshop is how it allows you try different things – in this case the time to change backgrounds… about 5 seconds. When you think about it… it is pretty cool.

I like smart advertisements. This case the concept of a watermelon being made of water seemed very cool idea. I found changing a normal red watermelon into an enhanced watermelon was fun to do.
I decided to take the image a bit further by adding the product bottle, which then lead me to create a new label for the bottle, which then lead to me creating a tag line and then I decided to stop.
