Software: Adobe Photoshop CS 5.1
Tutorial: Photoshop Down and Dirty Tricks
This tutorial once again shows the flexibility of Photoshop. First in the flexibility of brushes and layer masks in creating an image, but more importantly the flexibility of trying out different ideas.
The background in both images is created using brushes and layer masks. I am not going to say it was easy, but once the brushes and image are set up the process is very quick. The true flexibility was after I created the first image (the CFL image) I quickly realized I wanted to create an Argos version. A quick image search on the internet and some masking (there is always more masking…) and in about 10 minutes I had the Argos image. That is the power of Photoshop flexibility. The basic setup of this image suggests sports and action. I could change this image to about any sport in a ridiculously short time period. This is why Photoshop is so cool.
